YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan's Words On BJP Tie-up Prove DS Right

Government Chief Whip Mallu batti vikramarka on Thursday regretted the YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy proposal that he would tie-up with the Bharatiya Janata Party if it agrees to provide 10 per cent reservation for Minority communities.

Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, the Government Chief Whip said Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s words were proof that Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas was correct in his assessment that the BJP had entered into a secret pact with the YSR Congress Party chief.

Condemning the allegations leveled by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy that the Congress had changed his words was accusing him of entering into an alliance with the BJP, Mr Vikramarka said that there was no need for the ruling party to interfere in the internal affairs of YSR Congress Party and the BJP.

“It is internal matter of the YSR Congress Party and BJP whether to have alliance or not after the by-elections,” the Whip said.

Mr Vikramarka added that even if Mr Jaganmohan Reddy ties-up with the BJP or lures the Muslim voters, the Congress candidates will win the by-polls.

Praja Rajyam Party Starts Action Against Aissident MLAs

praja rajyam party Whip Vanga Geetha, MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Kothapalli Subbarayayudu on Thursday called on Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar at his chambers and appealed him to initiate action against Legislators Shobha Nagireddy and Katasani Ram Reddy under Anti-Defection Law for indulging in anti-party activities.

The PRP Whip and MLAs lodged a complaint in this regard with Deputy Speaker and appealed him to disqualify them from the House under Anti-Defection Law for indulging in anti-party activities.

According to sources, Mr Manohar has assured the PRP members that he would initiate action against them after seeking explanation.

Meanwhile another leader Shobha Rani on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission that party president K Chiranjeevi  has no power to merge his party with the Congress.

In her petition, Ms Shobha Rani said that Mr Chiranjeevi had taken the decision to merge the party with the Congress unilaterally and with selfish interests.

Appealing to Mr Chiranjeevi to reconsider his decision on merger, she threatened to launch hunger fast within a week if he fails to withdraw the merger plans.

Jupally Krishna Rao Launches Padayatra For Telangana

Endowment Minister jupally krishna rao on Thursday stated that he was ready to sacrifice his Minister’s post for the cause of Telangana state formation.

Talking to media persons after launching his Telangana Praja Abhiyan Padayatra from Martyrs Statue at Clock Tower in Mahabubnagar district, the Minister stated that the march was aimed to unite the various leaders and people who are fighting for the sake of a separate Telangana state.

Mr Krishna Rao said that he was ready to sacrifice his Ministerial post for the cause of Telangana. “I am even ready to sacrifice my life for the cause of separate Telangana state formation,” the Minister asserted.

Mr Krishna Rao had earlier submitted his resignation from his Cabinet post, saying that he wanted to fight for the separate statehood demand without the burden of responsibilities. However, his resignation is yet to be accepted.

The Minister expressed confidence that the Congress president Sonia Gandhi will not cheat Telangana people and honour the promise made by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on December 9, 2009.

He also expressed confidence that Ms Gandhi will make a clear announcement in June over the separate statehood demand once the results of the elections held for five Assemblies were announced by the Election Commission.

When asked if the Centre fails to make any announcement on Telangana statehood demand by June, the Minister stated that he would participate in the Telangana agitation and fight for achieving separate state.

“I will continue my padayatra till I achieve the Telangana state regardless if others support me or not,” he said. Mr Krishna Rao added, “I will act as per the wishes and aspirations of the Telangana people.”

Meanwhile, the Telangana Intellectuals Forum has extended its support to the Minister’s padayatra.

Congress Party will win with Thinner Majority

Stating that ysr congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was leveling baseless allegations that the government was using the state pool as a tool for electoral malpractices, 20-Point Economic Programme Chairman N Tulasi Reddy on Tuesday said that the former MP was afraid that he will be defeated in the Kadapa Lok Sabha by-elections. Mr Tulasi Reddy condemned the allegations and described them as baseless and unfounded.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the senior Congress leader said that there was no question of using the police force to intimidate voters and YSR Congress activist since the people were in favour of Congress candidates DL Ravindra Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats respectively.

Responding to the allegations that the government has totally failed in the implementing the schemes launched by former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr Tulasi Reddy condemned these as baseless. “The government had re-launched the prestigious Rachcha Banda Programme across the state to implement YSR’s schemes,” he said.

Mr Tulasi Reddy continued, “The government has sanctioned 4 lakh temporary ration cards and one lakh pension cards to needy people during the Rachcha Banda programme.” The senior leader added, “Not only this, the government has allotted a lion’s share of funds to implement the development and welfare programmes launched by YSR.”

Expressing confidence that the Congress candidates will win the by-elections, Mr Tulasi Reddy predicted the ysr congress party will be buried once the results were declared on May 13. Referring to the main opposition party, the Telugu Desam Party, the senior Congress leader said that its candidates would lose even their deposits.

He expressed confidence that the people of the district will vote for those who stay in their constituency and serve the people with dedication. “The people will not cast their votes for Mr Jaganmohan Reddy or Ms Vijayalakshmi who did not visit their constituencies after the elections. Mr Tulasi Reddy did however admit that the Congress will win with a thinner majority than in the last elections.

Alleging that the YSR Congress activists were distributing money among the voters to influence them, he said that the Congress party would lodge a complaint in this regard with the Election Commission. Responding to the Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s claims that he would bring YSR’s Golden Rule in the state, he asked whether this would be a ‘fake gold or rowdy’ rule.

Glamour Queen Heroine And Politician Roja Claims She Can Read people's Mind!!

Those who observe glamour queen-turned-politician R Roja speaking in front of camera of the electronic media can find an interesting aspect in her statements. She makes an observation and attributes it to the people. “Prajalu artham chesukuntunnaru; Prajalaki telusu evaru elantivaaro; Prajalu buddhi cheputaaru,” are her clichéd words in all her statements.

After she joined hands with the YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Roja has been saying that the people has approved whatever Jagan is doing and that they will teach a fitting lesson for his rivals. On Thursday, too, Roja made a similar comment on Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi’s proposed campaign in Kadapa by-elections.

She said “people have fully understood” the double standards of Chiranjeevi, who got 18 seats by criticizing the Congress in the 2009 elections and was now campaigning for the same party. “In fact, Chiranjeevi’s campaign will do more harm than benefit to the Congress party. It will help only Jagan. The people will question Chiranjeevi for merging his party with the Congress and are ready to teach a fitting lesson to the opportunistic alliance of the Congress and the PRP,” she said.

Well, Roja can read the mind of voters in tune with the party she is affiliated to. In the past, she made a similar comments in support of the TDP!

Megastar Chiranjeevi Loves Only F-Journalists!

If you thought that it is only the lovely smile of Juhi Chawla that Chiranjeevi loves the most (well, he recently revealed that during the TSR film awards), then here is something else. Apparently, Chiru has a strong love for only F-journalists. No…they are not female journalists, they are film journalists.

A source who is moving close to Chiru informed “Chiranjeevi seems to like Film journalists than political journalists. Usually, the political journos come up with tricky questions and put Chiru in difficult situations and he doesn’t have answers for that. But film journalists are careful since they still deem he is megastar and ask safe questions.”

The media circles reveal that usually Chiru is quite proactive towards film journalists and gives detailed answers with a smile. But all that fades as soon as he is mobbed by the political journalists. Some are suggesting perhaps the Congress High Command should give grooming lessons to Chiru on how to handle the political media.

Will Have No Truck With BJP: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

ysr congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday categorically stated that he would not align with the Bharatiya Janata Party after winning the Kadapa Lok Sabha by-elections, as alleged by Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas.

Addressing a public meeting as part of election campaign in Kadapa district, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy rubbished the statements made by Mr Srinivas and stated that the PCC chief was making such baseless allegations since he is skeptical about the chances of Congress candidates D L Ravindra Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy in the by-elections and wanted to lure away the minorities.

The PCC chief had stated that BJP had a secret understanding with Mr Jaganmohan Reddy and had deputed Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy to hold parleys with the ysr congress party chief. Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said that the Congress was resorting to a malicious campaign as it was unable to counter him politically. He further added that the government has registered 7,000 bind over cases on ysr congress party activists and was harassing them.

Despite using his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s photo in the by-elections, the Congress has stooped to field his uncle Vivekananda against his mother Vijayalakshmi, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy alleged. Questioning the rationale behind serving show-causes notices only on four Congress Legislators instead of serving it against all the MLAs who are supporting him, the YSR Congress chief dared PCC chief D Srinivas to initiate action against all MLAs immediately.

Mr Jaganmohan Reddy further alleged that both the Congress party and Telugu Desam Party have hatched a conspiracy to defeat him in the elections but expressed confidence on the people of constituency that they would vote in favour of ysr congress party.

Jokes Cracking On Megastar Chiranjeevi In Cuddapah

Ever since Chiranjeevi got into politics, his dialogues, his expressions are making him look like a comedian than a strong superstar. Well, the difference between reel life and real life is like chalk and cheese. While many have realized that fact, it appears that Chiru hasn’t and that has resulted in many jokes making rounds in Cuddapah.

The reason for that is the recent set of statements that Chiru gave in a pressmeet before commencing his tour in Cuddapah. A noted analyst revealed “Chiranjeevi thinks his charisma is still there. Using statements like ‘the high command has sent me’ ‘they know my power’ ‘CM insisted I should go’ Chiru should realize he is doing more of a self- empathizing rather than projecting his stardom.”

Another analyst added “His campaigning couldn’t help him in Palakollu during his debut into politics. What he will do in Cuddapah? Either the Congress camp has totally underestimated the power of Jagan in Cuddapah or they want Chiranjeevi to ‘entertain’ the crowds in a different way using him for canvassing.”

Common Symbol For Jagan Mohan Reddy And Vijayamma

The election commission on India on Thursday allotted a common symbol to YSR Congress Party, which is contesting in the by-elections for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies.

The election commission announced that both the YSR Congress Party candidates, YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother YS Vijayalakhsmi have been allotted the ‘ceiling fan’ as their symbol. Voting is due for the two seats on May 8.

With the allotment of common symbol, both YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YS Vijayalakshmi have intensified their election campaign. Their supporters are now busy enlightening the voters about the party symbol.

The common symbol will go a long way to help the YSR Congress Party candidates, especially in light of the fact that many of their namesakes have filed their nomination, feels party leader and former MLC HA Rahman.

He alleged that the Congress had attempted to confuse the voters by provoking many ‘Jaganmohan Reddys’ and many ‘Vijayalakshmis’ to file nominations. Mr Rahman said that the ECI’s ruling was a like a slap on the face of the Congress.

Earlier, the Supreme Court rejected a plea by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy for allotment of a common symbol to his newly floated party 30 days in advance, instead of the usual two weeks, to fight next month's by-election.

The Apex Court had said that there was no provision under the law to make such allotment and had left the allotment of the common symbol on the discretion of the election commission.

After receiving directions from the Court, the election commission allotted common symbol for the YSR Congress Party.

With this, the YSR Congress Party has 16 days to enlighten the voters about the symbol.

Time For N Chandrababu Naidu To Eye PM Post

Senior telugu desam party leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Wednesday said that the time has come for his party president N Chandrababu Naidu to make a bid at becoming the country’s Prime Minister.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of public meeting organized as part of the campaign for the by-elections, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu said that his party president has all the capabilities needed to lead the Nation.

“Mr Chandrababu Naidu should focus on National politics to become the country’s Prime Minister. He must become the Prime Minister of the country to end corruption in the country,” he stated.

Stating that there was a ‘dire need’ of a strong leader who could contain the rampant corruption by the Congress at the Centre, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu stated Mr Chandrababu Naidu was the right to person to cleanse the country of corruption.

The senior TDP leader further advised Mr Naidu to hand over the reins of the party to some other leader and work on the national stage. “This would bring laurels to the state, particularly to the Telugu people,” Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu stated.

Pointing out Mr Chandrababu Naidu had a chance to become Prime Minister in 1996 when he played a key role in bringing diverse parties to join hands and form the United Front government, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu stated that the TDP chief had then declined to head the coalition government citing that he was too young to take up responsibilities and to do lot more for state.

The ‘suggestion’ and the enticement of ‘Telugu pride’ by Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu comes at a time when reports of a serious rift between the Nara and Nandamuri families over the TDP chief’s successor.

It is believed that the rift has erupted after Mr Chandrababu Naidu started to groom his son Nara Lokesh to head the TDP, which was opposed by party founder-president NT Rama Rao’s elder son Harikrishna.

Congress Party Schemes, Not YSR's

Textiles and Handlooms Minister p shankar rao on Monday found fault with Union Minister of State for human resources development Daggubati Purandareshwari for heaping up praises on former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy for 'entirely' authoring the welfare schemes in Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister condemned the statement issued by the Congress MP from Visakhapatnam and Union Minister of State for HRD who is believed to have issued a statement that the welfare programmes implemented by the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh were that of YSR. “The schemes were YSR’s but the funds were ruling party’s,” Ms Purandareshwari is believed to have said.

Condemning her views, the Minister said, “she must withdraw her statement.” However, Dr Shankar rao chose to evade a reply on a specific question related to the cited controversy later.

However the Minister maintained that it was Congress party which had done a ‘lot’ for the SC, ST, Mahilas among others and all the schemes were entirely that of Congress party and AICC chairperson Sonia Gandhi deserved to be praised.

While briefing media persons at the Secretariat, the Minister also highlighted the achievements under former prime minister Indira Gandhi who was instrumental in Nationalisation of Banks which paved the way for implementing various poor schemes.

In this connection, he also recalled how Sonia Gandhi effected loan waiver of Rs 70,000 crore in the country and Andhra Pradesh alone was the top beneficiary in the list of states, he claimed.

Referring to the shortage of power and water, Dr Shankar Rao stressed the need to have nuclear power for which, he said, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was making all out efforts.

The nuclear power plants would be helpful to the Nation in the long run and which would reduce the pollution problem keeping in view the future generations, the Minister continued.

referring to the ‘eradication of corruption’ by congress mp rahul Gandhi and his resolve to fight out graft in the country, shankar rao pointed out that even socialist anna hajare had complemented the young leader on his efforts to fight corruption.

Anna Hazare, who had gone on hunger strike opposing the rampant corrupt practices in the country, also spoke in praise of the Prime Minister for his tireless and self-less work, Dr Shankar Rao stated.

Noted advocate of the Supreme Court Krishna Iyer was also quoted by the Minister as apologizing to Mr Rahul Gandhi for his comments on the latter on the issue of corruption. After Iyer commented, Dr Shankar Rao said, Mr Rahul Gandhi had later given a rejoinder in Kerala recently to him.  The Minister was of the opinion that stalwarts like Iyer, Hazare were speaking in praise of Mr Gandhi who was trying his best to root out corruption.

Chief Minister, Chiru to Campaign for By-Polls

Former minister JC Diwakar Reddy on Monday revealed that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Praja Rajyam Party president K chiranjeevi will campaign in the by-elections on behalf of Congress candidates DL Ravindra Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy in the ensuing by-elections for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies respectively.

Expressing confidence over the winning chances of Congress candidates, Mr Diwakar Reddy told media persons on Assembly premises that the people of Kadapa Constituency would vote for Congress candidates after seeing the performance of government and the schemes and programmes implemented.

“The wave is in favour of Congress candidates in the by-elections,” the former minister stated and added that he would intensify his campaign in favour of the party candidates.

Reacting on the allegation leveled by former minister Konda Surekha that Congress leaders are pumping money to influence the votes, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that the allegations were baseless and far from truth. He said there was no necessity for the Congress to spend a huge amount of money to influence voters.

The former minister also ‘appealed’ to YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to ‘share’ the secret behind his astounding growth in assets so that others may also benefit. He pointed out that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had declared that his assets stood at Rs 365 crore, in the affidavit filed before the Election Commission at the time of filing his nomination papers.

Condemning suspected gang-rape of an Intermediate student at Narayanaguda in the city on Sunday, Mr Diwakar Reddy demanded that the police arrest the guilty immediately. Regretting the incident, he stated that the people of the city should be cautious and cooperate with the police to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Hero Harikrishna Invites Chandra Babu to Tarak wedding

Nandamuri Harikrishna, the beaming father-of-the-groom armed with invitation cards of actor Junior NTR with Lakshmi Pranathi forthcoming marriage, called on Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday, to invite him to what is believed would be one of the ‘costliest’ wedding ceremonies in the state.

An equally beaming Mr Naidu received Mr Harikrishna and Junior NTR at his residence in Jubilee Hills and graciously accepted the invitation. Mr Naidu assured Mr Harikrishna, who is also his brother-in-law, that the Nara family will ensure that the festivities would be memorable.

Mr Harikrishna’s visit to Mr Naidu’s residence is part of his decision to personally invite close relatives and friends to the widely-anticipated wedding.

For the political watchers, the personal visit by Mr Harikrishna will go a long way to bring a thaw in the cold vibes which had settled between the two elders of both the families. The reported rift is believed to have been sprouted by the possible successor to the TDP chief.

The TDP chief is related to both Junior NTR and the father of the bride-to-be Narne Srinivasa Rao.

The countdown to the wedding began on February 13 at 8.05 with the elders of both the families gathering at the residence of the bride-to-be to write the ‘Lagna Patrika’.

The marriage will be solemnized at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on May 5.

The Nandamuri and Narne families are planning to celebrate this occasion like never before and it is widely believe that no expense would be spared in the arrangements. The guests’ list is likely to include the who-is-who of Indian politics besides film and sports personalities.

We work For Telangana State, TRS(Telangana Rashtra Samithi) Walks Away With Credit

Alleging that telangana rashtra samithi MLA K Taraka Rama Rao had managed to make thousands of crores of rupees in the name of the separate statehood issue since his advent into politics, Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum member and MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that the Telangana agitation has now become a business to the TRS leader.

Mr Dayakar Rao told media persons at the TDLP that KCR had parted ways with the TDP to launch the TRS and the party was initially sincere in its fight for Telangana. However, since KTR was brought in the picture, the Telangana agitation has been turned into a personal business for KTR who is raking in money and purchasing property around the twin cities, the senior TDP leader alleged.

“It is surprising that KTR has been given the party ticket and has been made an MLA even though there has been no single instance where he was an active participant in the protest for Telangana. He has never received a lathi blow nor has he ever sat on a dharna. People have lost their lives, limbs and properties while struggling for Telangana and compared to this, what has KTR done,? Mr Dayakar Rao questioned.

The TDP leader further reminded that his party leaders had faced the fury of the Maharashtra police when they went to that state to protest against the Babli project, while KTR has not done anything for Telangana. “How can he deliver speeches in favour of Telangana while the real heroes of the agitation suffered,” Mr Dayakar Rao wondered.

The senior leader also regretted the fact that the TDP had allowed the TRS to be a part of the ‘Mahakutami’ the coalition of parties which came together to take on the Congress juggernaut in the 2009 elections.

He said that, that decision was one of the primary reason behind the TDP’s poor showing in the 2009 elections. “The TDP would have won the seats in Telangana region if it had not supported the TRS and would have formed the government. The TDP government would also have passed a resolution on Telangana,” Mr Dayakar Rao stated.

“Very soon, the people of the region will see through the TRS leaders who have made the separate statehood agitation a business and are raking in money. The real protagonists of Telangana will then chase these ‘so called sympathisers to the Telangana cause’ from the region. That time is very near,” Mr Dayakar Rao predicted.

Tiger Harikrishna Makes Junior NTR 'Cry'

Tiger Harikrishna’s camp trying to lead the trial revolt against TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu backfired. TDP Vijayawada Urban President Vallabhaneni Vamsi withdrew his resignation attending before Chandrababu Naidu yesterday night. Sensing the anger of Naidu by this internal politics played by Harikrishna in transferring the reigns of TDP in future to junior ntr didn’t work as per the plan.

Vamsi surrendered before Naidu with apologies but received a serious warning not to repeat the same that would damage the image of Party. Morale of entire episode is that junior ntr’s over enthusiasm in calling the shots with Balakrishna will no way help his budding filmy and personal career. Although Tiger Seethayya doesn’t find any chance in future to dethrone Naidu, it is these repeated mistakes that would make junior ntr most vulnerable. Over all, it is Tarak who is heard crying with tears by this senseless move from Harikrishna. After all, you need to gain experience and develop your skills before taking on ‘Apara Chanakya’ like Naidu!

Support Growing For Junior NTR In TDP(Telugu Desam Party) Ranks

It looks like the support for Junior NTR is swelling in the Telugu Desam Party.

On Sunday, senior TDP leader from Krishna district and former agriculture minister Vadde Sobhanadreeshwara Rao came in support of Jr NTR’s leadership in the party.

“It is not appropriate to expect that only one person should lead the party forever. There should be a change in the leadership in tune with the aspirations of the people and party workers. I personally feel it would be excellent if Jr NTR takes over the party reins. He is young, dynamic and good speaker. He can take the party forward,” Vadde told the media.

The former minister admitted that there were serious differences in the party in general and Krishna district in particular.

The party president has not encouraged the second rung leadership in the party, which was responsible for the present crisis, he said.

“There is a huge difference between the personalities of N T Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu. NTR always kept the big industrialists and business bigwigs at bay and gave top priority to the poor people. It was completely reverse in the case of Chandrababu and that is why he got alienated from the people,” he explained.

A1 Star Junior NTR is Harikrishna's Real Strength

Is Harikrishna planning a tit for tat to Chandrababu Naidu? Are Nandamuri cine stars to become the future super stars in TDP? If the answer is ‘Yes’ and the initiative for same has been taken by Harikrishna, then how did he acquire this sudden strength? Here is an internal report that Nandamuri ‘Seethayya’ is preparing the ground to dethrone Naidu from a long time.

All the Party tours in various districts of Andhra Pradesh in last two to three years taken in the name of unveiling the statues of Legendary NTR aren’t the real Party tours and a hidden truth behind is Harikrishna etching a plan in the form of base level preparations for his revolt. The strong reason behind all this is to see junior ntr taking the Party reigns in future.

The overbalance in TDP with super power in Naidu and arrival of Lokesh made Nandamuri heroes almost insignificant. If the same is continued, this could be the end of Nandamuri saga in Party.  Immediate hope for Harikrishna is seen only in the form of junior ntr, who is growing boundless in charisma matching the standards of his grand father. In fact few of our Krishna district sources say that, backing from junior ntr is alone enough for Harikrishna to lead the revolt.

Balayya 'chamcha'giri to Naidu

Speculations have come into reality and the succession war in TDP is creating new headaches for Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Being in opposition, it forms the duty of Naidu to bring back TDP into power but Nandamuri Harikrishna calling the shots is creating the flutters in Nara family.

Harikrishna declaring openly on his arrival shortly into public with a campaign against corruption in line with ideals of legendary NTR and his conspicuous absence at Naidu’s rally in support of Anna Hazare marked the start of a new revolt in TDP. Taking an indirect dig at Naidu being referenced as corrupt in Harikrishna’s open letter is not at all received properly by his brother balakrishna. The attempt of Harikrishna is to bring back the dominancy of Nandamuri clan in TDP and he needs the support of his brothers and sons.

‘I want stability in TDP. Please don’t drag me into these unnecessary controversies,’ is the only reaction from Balayya on the total episode. ‘Well, his fears are clear. As Brahmani is now the wife of Nara Lokesh, balakrishna needs to do ‘chamchagiri’ to Bava and Alludu. The on screen Lion has become an off screen cat,’ says a diehard Nandamuri follower. It is time that would decide where will this family matter head for?

Lathi charge on Mega Star Chiru Fans, 15 injured

Fifteen students sustained injuries when the police used batons to control a crowd during an election campaign by film actor and Praja Rajyam Party president K chiranjeevi at Bangarpet in the border district of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

According to reports coming in, thousands of fans of the actor from neighbouring districts rushed to Bangarpet after news spread that the star would be arriving to campaign for the Congress candidate in the area for the election scheduled on April 9. The fans and students jostled when chiranjeevi tried to alight from his car. Sensing situation going out of control, the police resorted to lathicharge, police said.

During the campaign, chiranjeevi urged voters to vote for Congress and described the Bharatiya Janata Party government as being unsuccessful. Meanwhile, the campaigning ended in the evening in Bangarpet, Jagalur and Chennapatna Assembly constituencies, where bye-elections are being held on April 9th.
